Hello!
I'm a student at Emily Carr University shooting my graduation film. The last film that I directed made it into a local film festival, and has been invited to others as well so I have big goals for this film;"What Happened To Your Little Sister?"
It is a short film following a sequence of events that two roommates encounter during their first year of college, and how these events shape their sense of identity. It follows their struggle to find acceptance and a means of self-expression in a dorm environment that is violent towards women and oppressive of marginalized groups.
Main conflict of the film:
The individual in society- social influences determine the character's final destinies, their identity is determined by their place in society and the pressure to fit in creates feelings of loneliness and fear.
We're casting on Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday on the evenings of this week and I'm going to shoot some small inserts (without dialogue) next weekend (October 14th/15th) The bulk of the shooting will be in the third week of November.
