Hey everybody :)

I'm Eden, 18 yrs old living in Manukau - Auckland.
Trained in Jazz for 3 years, so of course most of my singing experience lies in that genre. I've been a member of KBB silver/gold award winning Jazz bands over the past two years.
Winner of the inaugural Matariki Songwriting Composition Contest 2011 for original 'Poukura'. To listen, follow this link: http://soundcloud.com/play-it-strange/poukura-by-eden-tautali-st
I've also won a few talent competitions. Have performed live on IamTV as well as opened the Tiramarama Concert 2011 in front of an audience of over 3000 - so big/intimate audiences don't phase me at all :)
I've featured alongside artists such as Stan Walker, Ardijah, Styx, Maisy Rika and Tama Waipara.
Also have proven lyrical ability for those interested - I am a creative writer and won the New Zealand National Schools Poetry Competition, as well as the National Sheila Winn Shakespeare Music Competition 2010 (winning both first and third place) and achieved third for 2011. I sing in both English and Maori.

I grew up listening to hip hop, rnb, old school funk, reggae and jazz. Major influences are Bob Marley, Ella Fitzgerald, The Eagles, The Supremes and NWA. Although I am trained in Jazz, I love to sing all genres of music (especially RnB and Hip Hop) and will have an awesome time giving anything a go. Nowadays, I listen to and sing a huge variety of music. I am just dipping my feet (so to speak) into indie and rock.

I play acoustic guitar also - Listen to the track 'poukura' for a sample of my playing ability.

Now that I've finally finished school I feel that I finally have the opportunity to dedicate myself to singing. I take my music very seriously, but I also love to jam (typical Maori girl, I guess you could say :) so, if you're looking for a singer who can tackle pretty much anything and isn't afraid to experiment, write, compose and jump head-first into projects, then don't hesitate to contact me.

One Love ")
