Straight to the point, it’s about two autistic people who form a friendship at a special school. Their friendship bonds as they attempt to surpass their issues at school and, by the end of the film, they fall in-love and become a couple.
The script is around 50 pages long; so, that equivalents to around a 1 hour 30 minute movie. As my previous movie ‘AGGRIEVED’ was an hour long, and that was 35 pages long.
This is a passion project of mine, as I am making the film for my girlfriend, whom of which I have shared these experiences with and of which the relationship in the film is based on.
The characters are based on real people: friends that I have met, bullies that used to pick on me, girlfriends I’ve had, etc. So, you will be asked to represent an actual person within the film, some of the names have obviously been changed for protection purposes but others have not been changed for other reasons. But, either way, you will have to represent an actual person and fill their shoes. This includes replicating their autistic traits, as all major characters in the film and every person that these characters are based off have a form of autism. So, you will be prompted & directed to act out (accurately) those autistic traits that these people had.
Since the film is based on real people, it also involves (to some extent) actual events that have taken place at my secondary school. For example, one of the characters is based off myself, so the main character is a filmmaker who ends up making a movie with his best friend. As I made a movie with my girlfriend (whom, at the time I made the film, was my best friend) at school.
