We have a treatment, that is 90% completed (just the ending to finish).
We are looking for a relatively quick turn-around (within 6-8 weeks preferably quicker) so we can get this film made.
Please indicate when applying your fee for the total job (to final draft). It would also be useful to see an example of your previous screenwriting work and an idea of your anticipated turn-around time.
Payment TBC - Please indicate your fee for finished script upon applying.
UPDATE: Just to clarify as I have been asked numerous questions regarding this post. The treatment is about finished now. We are looking for someone to write the script off the back of it. We are anticipating no more than 30 pages as we'd like to keep it below 30 minutes in length (ideal would be 15-20).
The story revolves around a family struggling to deal with a son who has been diagnosed with ASD/Aspergers. This is about the struggle of dealing with a child who has violent meltdowns, and how it tears the family apart. It's a relatively bleak tale, so may be controversial for those with children on the spectrum or for adults who have a diagnosis themselves. The plan is to interview some diagnosed adults for the end credits, to talk about how they're doing in life as adults with ASD/Aspergers. So although it is a bleak tale (based on real life events), I'm hoping to show that actually it's not all doom and gloom and there is a light at the end of the tunnel for parents who are struggling to cope.
Please ensure you have included your quote for this job in monetary value, if you haven't already. Unfortunately applications without a quote will not be considered. We've had some who have said to be decided/agreed which means we either have to dismiss that application or that we have to spend a fair amount of time trying to establish how much is expected. If you are willing to do it freely, that is fine too but please state so in your application.
