Hello, photographers! I have a rather unique photoshoot here that I think will look GREAT in your Portfolio!

We are going to challenge the popular perspective about DISABILITY AND MODELLING. This is an UNPAID listing but with plenty of EXPOSURE because this is going to be a CAMPAIGN, and there is a chance for ONGOING PAID WORK if we have a good working rapport/chemistry and your photographs are well-received by my fans.

This is a BODY POSITIVITY shoot with a PLUS-SIZED, DISABLED model. We will be shooting with me in my WHEELCHAIR, and outside of my wheelchair using my knee supports and/or crutches. I want to feel SEXY and EMPOWERED, disability and bodyshape be-darned!

Due to the nature of this shoot, I am enforcing a strict NO ALTERATIONS TO MY APPEARANCE policy. I am happy for "Photoshopping" of my surroundings, but not of me. Me, I will be 100% unaltered, freckles, stretchmarks, static hair, spots, etc all there lol! I am undecided about whether to use makeup or not. If you have a problem with any of this, please do not apply.

I am going all-out with a SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN that will empower people like me to be UNASHAMED of who they are, what they look like, etc, and just “go for it”! I also want to try and change-the-minds of “normal”/everyday (abled-bodied) people who might think that people like me can’t be beautiful!

I am Social Media Influencer with a qualification in Marketing, so I know how to really get those photos out-there!

There will be appropriate campaign hashtag/s (tbc), some of the images will be turned into “memes” that people will want to share, I will be sending the images to appropriate websites, and if you have social media platforms I will of course “Tag” you, your website will be linked-to, etc, so expect LOTS OF EXPOSURE! I am likely to financially boost the Posts on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter (from my Disability Benefits), and if I do this you are GARAUNTEED GOOD VIEWERSHIP for your shots!

I have some limited past experience in modelling with amateur photographers, but admittedly not with professionals. I am happy to work with ANY EXPERIENCE LEVEL and with any kind of equipment (DSLR, SLR, even an advanced cameraphone!) as long as you know how to take good photographs! I am based in MARGATE, but happy to travel, or pay for TRAVEL EXPENSES AND REFRESHMENTS for the right candidate.

We can either shoot in your Studio or on-location in Kent/elsewhere.

My Carer will be accompanying me at all times for health and safety reasons. Photographers that have a CRB/DBS check, Insurance, etc, will have an advantage.

IDEALLY, if I could find a fellow-disabled photographer, that would be absolutely #EPIC(!), so again, this is not essential, but advantageous if this described you. Please provide examples of your work. The more varied, the better! On-location, in-studio, magazine, cover, “plus-size”, “alternative”, “themed”/costumed, nighttime, etc.

Also, because I won't want to be edited, if you can show me photographs that are UNEDITED, that's even better. I want to see your POTENTIAL! Thank you in advance for all your applications, and I wish you all the very best. I look-forward to seeing your work and speaking with you all!

Ps. There are examples of my modelling work and links to my social media channels etc on my Profile.

Unpaid (voluntary/TFP) photographer. For those - with less experience, basic hardware (for example a cameraphone), or maybe for a professional who is happy to waive the fee because they simply want to be a part of this project and respect that I am disabled and living off of Benefits, etc - please apply for this position. CRB/DBS and insurance etc is a bonus. Experience working with disabled people is a bonus. Disabled photographer would be IDEAL! Please provide examples of your work (*UN-ALTERED* photographs would be preferred, as this is what I want for this shoot). Thank you, and best wishes! :-)

Job payment: This job is unpaid - A voluntary position on a "TFP" (Time For Prints), mutually beneficial basis, with plenty of social media exposure and full rights over your own use of the images Expenses paid - Refreshments provided at shoot (please make me aware of any dietary requirements)! Travel expenses can be paid if needed.
