Four Actors Required for Comedy Fest Play

Four Actors Required for Comedy Fest Play

Victoria, Australia
Listed by View details

'An Evening of Bad Theatre' is an original one-act play which will be performed the final week of The Melbourne International Comedy Festival in April 2020.

It is about the very real, and very awkward, experience of seeing a loved one in an original show, then trying to figure out what the hell to say to them after.

Jeff and his best friend, Nicky, witness the unholy theatrical creation (Catcher in the Bell Jar) of Jeff's girlfriend, Becky. A high concept and nonsensical concoction of many half baked ideas. They then scramble to figure out how to talk to her about the abomination. An abomination of which she is very proud.

Several actors, and a stage manager, are needed to stage the dreadful play within a play. They will have the challenging task of making something bad on purpose, while appearing to try their best to make it good.
