Our short film "The Face" is a story of a female bounty hunter who's tracked down a man wanted by both sides of the law -- either side offers an equal reward but she might have ulterior motives for his capture.
The short film is being primed for film festivals around the world so be assured your work will get a decent amount of exposure and will be a great to get your name out there. Now about the work itself.
The western genre lends itself to wide variety of musical styles and options and while the twangy guitar of The Dollars Trilogy is a mainstay, we're looking for a sound that will help us stand out from the already crowded market of western short films. As an audition piece you will be provided with 2 scenes from the film to score to: The reveal of the central villain and the climatic action sequence. With these 2 scenes we'll be able to hear your style and competency.
Also if you wish, you'll be able to read the script to get a better feel for the characters and if successfully you'll have access to the entire film.
PLEASE, keep in mind the film is in it's rough cut stage so colour grade, visual effects and soundmix are yet to be completed. Before picture lock we'd like to get started on basic music so the delivery date is unaffected.
Ideally we'd like the score delivered by the mid to late January. If that's too much of a herculean task it's best you not apply. Any further questions feel free to message me directly.
Audition / Rehearsal / Production datesThe film is in post production with no shooting days left. The delivery date is late January.
