It's a conversation piece. The premise is as follows: the film begins with two actors cradling scripts on what is quite clearly a rehearsal set. The director shouts "action!" and they immediately get into character and perform the piece. The scripts are obscured so that the audience is led to forget that it is merely a "play within a play", so that the ending (when the director abruptly shouts "cut!", the scripts return to frame and we return to ""reality"") comes as a disorienting surprise. Thereby I want to cheekily play with the distinction between reality and fiction.
I've already cast one of the characters, "Actor Playing Paul Vermont", and now I need to cast "Actor Playing Tourist" (again, it's a play within a play). While Paul Vermont is quite a depressed and melancholy character, the Tourist is more relaxed and cheerful. He needs to have a foreign accent of any variety, from Spanish to American. Whether this is your native accent or not I do not care, so long as it sounds genuine.
