• The Set Designer and Assistant Set Designer and Set Constructor are engaged by MFT and Assistant Set Constructor on a volunteer unpaid basis for the Production and reports to Michael Bula, Executive Director or his delegate/s as the Producer (collectively "the Producer")
• Artistic and creative design and construction [unless supervising], provision of accessories, dressing and paint of the set and properties (personally and/or with assistance as agreed with the Producer) of the Production, as requested by the Director, obtain quotes for approval and under the supervision and control of the Producer
• must attend a number of rehearsals to familiarise themselves with the play
• organise, supervise work and deadlines, arrange meetings and coordinate all technical personnel involved in set with all set technical requirements [and if not the Set Designer assist the Set Designer with all matters on this sheet] [“Production Items”]
• Responsible for sourcing, supervision of construction and return of all materials, dressing / painting the set, set pieces, accessories and items [“Set Items”] to complete the set as specified by the Director and approved by the Producer
• Must be in attendance at Bump-in and Bump-out and other times in the theatre to ensure set and furniture/pieces delivery at bump-in smooth set construction and de-construction and organise collection or storage of purchased or hired/borrowed set materials and Set Items – removed and transported from the theatre space at bump-out
