As a video editor, you will be a key member of our post-production team creating top quality content for TV, film and online purposes and you'll be responsible for assembling recorded raw material into a finished product that's suitable for broadcasting. The material will include camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics and special effects.
-You must have excellent video editing skills and be able to deliver top quality final products for broadcast.
-You must be able to work as team as you'll work closely with the director and producer to achieve the desired end results.
-You must have a high level of excellence and awareness working with Adobe Premiere Pro & After Affects.
-Be able to work with multi-camera edits and assemble all raw footage with a clear eye for detail.
-Attention to detail and a critical mind is a must.
-Be able to sync up sound, re-order content, fine-tune content and colour grade footage.
-Have a clear eye for detail when it comes to editing and knowledge on what is usable in video creation.
-Creativity and a passionate interest for film & TV is a must.
-Must give a 110 % commitment and dedication to the production process.
-Be able to work under pressure to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
-The ability to work with after effects and create motion graphics.
Your work as a video editor will involve:
-assembling all raw footage, with camera shots either recorded or transferred onto video tape in preparation for inputting into the computer.
-inputting uncut rushes and sound, and synchronising and storing them into files on the computer.
-digitally cutting files to put together the sequence of the film and deciding what's usable.
-creating a 'rough cut' (or assembly edit) of the programme/film and determining the exact cutting for the next and final stages.
-reordering and fine-tuning the content to ensure the logical sequencing and smooth running of the film/video.
-colour grading and syncing up sound if needed.
-delivering the final product quickly and cleanly.
-working closely with other editors to deliver top quality content for broadcast.
Additional tasks may include:
-overseeing the quality and progress of audio and video engineering and editing.
-experimenting with styles and techniques including the design of graphic elements.
-suggesting or selecting music.
Must be able to start immediately.
Hours are flexible but are normally Monday - Friday on a full time basis.
