Lost Frog Productions is a student run production company. We are making our final projects before graduating and are working on Thornwood, a TV miniseries. Thornwood is a paranormal mystery, the story begins when Rory arrives at the prestigious boarding school where he meets his estranged Uncle Ernest for the first time. Everything at the dignified academy is not what it appears for Thornwood holds a dark secret left forgotten for decades and it is up to Rory to put old wrongs right. This project is for university studies and the final episode will be available for viewing online.

The roles are unpaid with an allowance for travel/ food expenses. We are predominantly looking for people based in the South of England particularly Bournemouth, Southampton and London.

StarNow note for talent: Please note the Advertiser has indicated this production contains strong themes including a drowning scene and minors are involved in shooting these scenes. The minor cast in the role of Amelia Marsh will be required to wade into a body of water however this will be no higher than their knees. Applicants may wish to clarify further details with the advertiser before attending an audition.


All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Original dates (subject to change due to COVID-19)

The preliminary shooting window will be: 1st April- 15th April. Audition tape will need to be sent to the company by 7th March.

Rory Higgins

Our protagonist, Rory is a troublesome boy who has been sent away to a boarding school by his fed-up parents. 16 years old, settling into a new school and meeting his Uncle Ernest for the first time Rory is out of his depth at the prestigious Thornwood Academy. Rory is rebellious and defiant of the rules but deep down he has a moral compass and a kind heart.

She doesn’t belong in a strict school like Thornwood, she is creative and hopeful. She is stubborn and stands up for what she believes in.

Student at Thornwood Academy in 1992, Martha is an introvert and struggles to claim her own voice in situations. She is overshadowed by large personalities and likes to go unnoticed. Martha comes from a strict, privileged background and is the daughter of Thornwood’s headmaster. Martha feels the pressure to uphold her family’s reputation but she longs to be free to live her own life and follow her passions.
