Three Actors Required for a Short About an Athlete Dealing with Impotence

We are looking for three actors to perform in the roles of a male athlete, his girlfriend and his coach in a short film which deals with toxic masculinity and impotence within the Black community.

For the roles, we need a male lead in the age range of 19-25; He should slim and athletic build, at least 6'1" (185 cms), of dark skin complexion. The female should be of the same age range, at least 5'7" (170 cms) and dark complexion. The third part of "Coach" should be in the age range of 50-75, height and build unimportant - the ability to project a stern and sympathetic nature on-screen is vital.

The project is called "Junior" and will be seen online on different platforms such as Vimeo and we are seeking viewing points which deal with the issues of toxic masculinity and impotence amongst charity organisations.

Please note, there will be a scene where "Jessica" and "Junior" are hugging in bed. “Junior” will be wearing a visible t-shirt and “Jessica” will be wearing nightwear.

The name of the production company is KSDigifilm, which is a part of the KSDIgimedia Group of companies and the organisation is one which makes documentaries and real-life films about social issues, so "Junior" is well placed.

Audition / Rehearsal / Production dates

TBC, shooting will take place over three days on 08-10 February 2021 and rehearsals will happen during the dates in the second week of January, taking into account the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.

Job payment

Unpaid – this is a collaboration opportunity

Expenses paid - All travel expenses will be paid, along with meals at breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Collaborations should create mutual benefit and are usually amateur, student or 'Time for Print' projects.

"Junior"

The character is a thoughtful and complex one, confidence in terms of his sport as a sprinter but nervous around his partner, physically. Dark complexion required along with athletic build.
