Two Actors Required for Main Roles in Short Film

Maria is in her 20s, a forceful presence, who stands out. She is stubborn, isolated in her own world and seems focused on getting one thing, this casting that requires her writing a monologue. She spends her days writing, speaking to her mother, who seems to be obsessive about her children, and working at a coffee shop. Although she is represented by an agent, she refuses to take commercial jobs.

Joshua is in his late teens, a lumbersome, child like boy, who is awkward, asexual and lets no one in. He is a shadow, more than a complete character. He can’t express himself at all, to the point, where having a simple conversation becomes impossible. He is introverted and dresses very simply, without any sense of style. His lack of personal identity is apparent to every single aspect of his life. He lives isolated with his parents and he is Maria’s brother.
