Our casting needs to reflect the the UK and our Radio listeners. We want to celebrate the diversity in family structures, age, race etc. Some might have two dads, another might have just one mum. One might have young children, whiles another’s might all be grown up. We also want to show diversity of race and ability, if possible.
We will be asking for portrait selfies of each family

Usage agreement covers all rights in all media, which may or may not include BBC owned TV,
OOH, all BBC online and social media platforms.

Here it would be great to cast an asian/indian or otherwise racially diverse family, but Claudia needs to feel part of them. So if they all have thick dark brown hair, or wigs that will help along with costume. It might be fun to search for a family who have a distinctive feature here. A prominent nose perhaps?

To really show the height difference we’d like to cast a family of 5-6 people from short to very tall. We would love for the Mum to be taller than the Dad here. (However we could also do this with a box) Ideally the family would be black or racially diverse. It’s important they all have a big white smile to match Rylan’s.
