Having spent a year doing very little, and having had the group that I was playing in disband toward the middle of last year, I’ve pulled together guitar, drums and vocals from a number of different projects that I’ve played in over the past couple of years, and that I thought would work and suit the sound…but I’ve come up short on bass!
In terms of the sound of the project, I’d like to point to influences such as The Black Crows, GVF, Rival Sons etc. I guess age and style are far less important than ability and reliability, I’m keen to find someone enthusiastic, willing to contribute, prep for studio sessions and rehearsals etc. (sometimes these are obvious but not common traits!).
The idea would be to get comfortable with a number of cover tracks to work-up the band and then get in the studio and record some material ASAP. I'm not sure what the ‘live’ music scene is going to look like going-forward, but perhaps cross that bridge when we come to it.
I think that this could be a very interesting project, with some great players onboard, and so if you’re interested in coming down to jam/rehearse…we’d love to hear from you.
