Room 515 (working title) is an important and sensitive film about a middle-aged protagonist; a woman who has kept her sexuality a secret for the sake of holding her family together. Now in her forties, the woman decides to pursue happiness and uncover her truth by meeting with a younger, more confident lesbian woman in a hotel one night.

The project has funding interest from a large figure in the film industry, and there is a multi-award winning, talented crew already attached. The team have an extraordinary number of worldwide film festival credits between them, having had previous work screened at BAFTA & OSCAR-qualifying festivals in the last five years alone; furthermore, the production company behind Room 515 have a strong track record and reputation within the industry, with credits including the BAFTA-Longlisted Stop/Eject. You can view more examples of our previous films in this showreel: (link provided upon application).

This film and role does include scenes of implied nudity (down to underwear), but these are tasteful and for the benefit of the story only. All scenes will be conducted in a safe and respectful manner, and we will be hiring an intimacy co-ordinator to monitor all proceedings. There is also a predominantly female presence amongst the crew, particularly with our above-the-line team.

Please note - we want to use this project as an opportunity to amplify LGBTQIA+ voices, so we're looking to hear from applicants within that community at this time. Midlands-based applicants are also preferred.

We look forward to hearing from you!
