About the character:
Athena is a university student working over the seasonal period at a bookshop. An awkward girl, Athena spends most of her time reading. Athena suffers from anxiety and loneliness; she doesn’t believe in her abilities as a writer and can be seen as antisocial and stand offish. Whereas that couldn’t be further from the truth when she’s truly just extremely shy. She has a close-knit circle of friends that love and enjoy her company and they try and encourage her to parties and in her abilities as an author. Athena meets Horace while she’s working the evening shift, scared at first, they both find friendship in each other, and they both help each other through their internal struggles.
After application, we will send you a passage from a novel for you to read and record, just to get a feel for your voice and to see if you are right for the role.
