Grief can haunt us. When someone passes away, when someone we love leaves, the end of a friendship, a relationship, all these things leave us with a lingering memory of a person. MINDSET is a film which explores the way grief can change us and keep us from moving forward with our lives.
A young woman, Sam, must grapple with the fact that the woman she loved has passed away. This film is particularly poignant as the audience realises and experiences this at the same time Sam does. Through a series of flashbacks from the night before, we realise a party we thought the couple attended together, was only attended by Sam.
The events that take place over the course of the evening force Sam to come to terms with the fact that the woman standing in front of her is nothing but a lingering memory.
